  1. This is the first time I have read this story. I've always wanted to read it and have seen most of the movies based on the novel. I think I quite liked it better than the movies. Scrooge is definitely a grumpy old man, but a funny grumpy old man. I very much enjoyed this story and I loved the illustrations. What a great book to read over Christmas!
